Skiing in England ?

The desperate-to-ski put skiing where there's snow. And in England that means a number of clubs and tows in the hills between Darlington and Newcastle. Further south, there's the Penines and there's even a club in the Lake District.

The best site I found that gathers all this info together is The Ski Resorts of Northern England

What else? You can now ski on real, artificial, snow ( if you see what I mean) at the Snowdome in Milton Keynes, and at Tamworth. We've done the Milton Keynes one, and it certainly does what it says. Lessons are pretty good value too. There's supposed to be a Snowdome coming to Docklands at Beckton Alps, but its way overdue and nothing seems to be happening at the site anymore.

(There is a good roundup of Snowdome news at The Boarder)

Ski Milton Keynes

New!  This year there's the snowpark at Diggerland,  www.thesnowpark.co.uk. It looks pretty quiet on the webcam, but it claims 3 full months of snow-machine snow. Anyone been to this?
