Skiing Iran

Dizin - Tehran,  Yam - Tabriz

First put up in 1951 by the germans, the Iranian ski resorts were closed down in 1979 before re-opening in the 80's. A lot has changed here since 1997, and the days of men's and women's ski slopes are pretty much gone, says the BBC. Though still not many non Iranians make it there, skiing seems cheap at 30,000 rials/ day for ski passes at Dizin.

They say Iran has 20 different ski areas, and if you fancy a package there, checkout IranMania Ski Tours.

Yam is the newest resort, with 3 drag lifts up to 3,200 M
