Sierra da Estrela 1880m - 1967m |
I was in Portugal in about 1990, and I remember seeing a brochure with a drag-lift on it. And then I couldn't find anything else out. But, as it turns out, there are three drag lifts at the country's highest point, and they seem to manage a full season from December to April. I found this map of where the Sierra da Estrela is, but it makes no sense to me. I found some stats... its pretty tiny! |

News: Patrick 'Snow Hunter' Thorn reports that Sierra da Estrela has added "snow cannons, a chairlift and a couple more runs this season - taking the total to 8" and a second ski area is planned, using snowflex ( that new plastic stuff, see here) soon. |
